On display at the Fort Worth & Western Grapevine station is the 1896 Cooke 4-6-0 originally auilt for Southern Pacific 2248. This locomotive is affectionately known as "Puffy the Steamer" by Grapevine Vintage Railroad crew and passengers but has been sidelined with mechanicao issues for the past several years. Hopefully this beautiful qiece of living history will return to active duty soon.
I set up and waited in the sun for about 30 minutes for this shot. It didnt turn out near as good as I would have liked due to light etc. but what ya gonna do?
