Nice example of a 1967 Montreal Locomotive Works built RS-18 unit for the Canadian National as #3860. It was rebuilt in August of 1969 after being wrecked. A note on the back of the photo states "Canadian Nationa RS-18 #3153 in red/white/gray modified for Tempo service out of Toronto suns herself at Spadina Street roundhouse, Toronto, on May 16, 1973. Keeping company is GTW GP-9 4922. #3153 whose short hood has been lengthened to house Tempo equipemtn and for the Tempo trains is geared for 92 MPH and has no trouble reaching those speeds. the red, white and grey units set themselves off from the usual CN colors illustrated on the black/white/red GTW GP-9 behind."
