RPPY rolls slowly through BD behind an odd assortment of power as the snow intensifies. Just another winter day on the railroad.
A view from the access road to NY 17 from US 220 gives a good view of the train passing Ted Clarks. Note the lead unit seems to be unsure of its identity.
PLMT is ready to head west, and will shortly be opening up to get onto the Tier.
This MTPL is rolling west past the Tioga County Transfer Station, passing signal 249-1. The semaphore is dropping as the train rolls west.
TB 4, the turn from Binghamton to Taylor yard in Scranton, rolls under the NY 7 overpass south of Conklin. At the time, this line was single track down to Stillwater, just north of the PA line. It is now single here.
A pair of short line boxcars are head out on the Taylor Turn as it rolls under the NY 7 bridge. TOE is Texas, Oklahoma & Eastern, a lumber hauler in the DeQueen Ark area; the lead car is from Apalachicola Northern, which also handles lumber products in the Florida panhandle and southwest Georgia.

As opposed to chasing trains. MEBU is at the south end of Bevier St on the Buffalo Runner, and will head out to QD and the Tier. At right, RPPY rolls down the Binghamton Runner, and will take the crossing at BD to enter East Binghamton. It also has an NYSW B 40 leading.
RPPY rolls south with an NYSW B 40 leading, passing the D&H flanger that is spending the summer at Bevier St.
One of the trains NYSW ran was a turn from Binghamton to Taylor yard near Scranton. We see it rolling through Conklin on its way south.
A pair of four axle units assist PYRP getting out of Bevier St
Sometimes NYSW would cut the power off an MEBU and take it to the yard, leaving one unit on to keep the air pumped up. The new power(or sometimes the power it came in with) would come out, couple on, and go west. Today, one of the original D&H 7600 series GP 39's has the honors of keeping the brakes charged at the south end of Bevier St.
A set of lite power goes west under the watchful eye of none other than JJ Young Jr. JJ was in typical form, no shirt and his ever present "bat barf" welders hat.
MEBU with three 45s and a GP 39 starts toward QD. There it will enter the Southern Tier Line and head to Buffalo.
MEBU is on the left, with 3 of 4 units from the 45 line, as a set of pushers waits on the right for a northbound going up the hill. As a bonus, we have both NYSW F 45's. It was a good time to be watching the 20 cylinder beasts. Action at the south end of Bevier St.
