United Grain Export Terminal almost fits in the frame from a couple miles north. Some of the new expanded silos visible which helped make it the largest grain export elevator on the west coast of the entire United States here in Vancouver, WA (at least as of the year 2014).

JLCX 2886 waits for the lockout and inspector walk-out to end at United Grain Terminal... as of August there is hope again shipments will resume.

United Grain Terminal - still partly obscured by metal recycling, but resuming operations soon (hopefully) to regain/retain the throne as largest single grain export location on the entire west coast of the United States.

CBCX 102 with spot-n-shuffle partner CBCX 565 serve covered hoppers to a local stop with a rather interesting blind siding (presumed due to changes in various industries through the industrial/business area) - using two units on either side of the blind point seemed to speed the process along significantly.

Great Western Malting Company Critter working the covered hoppers below the towering United Grain elevator in Vancouver, Washington - have yet to be able to get a good picture of this little workhorse, but I keep trying.

As a side note, a special thank you to the engineer at the helm for making my sons day that dreary Sunday with the special wave and chugging right alongside motions - after a dumpy day, he was extremely bubbly for quite some time and created quite the special moment for him - thank you.

BNSF 2721 ( BNSF 1504 being a little shy behind her) leaving the station-wye area and making the unrealistic drop down into the lower yard area between United Grain and the sewage treatment plant after passing between Northwest Pack and warehouses. If we ever modeled this steep of an incline, wed get called on it every time being told that doesnt happen in the real world! because that drop occurs over such a short _curve_ my model power units would never be able to make it back up and it would look much more silly than this.
