All shots taken by me in 2006.
Yup this idiot decided to park right in front of the train tracks he sat there as the trajn passed inches by his car. What an idiot.
The only problem with NS is they have too many dash-9s.
NS 4612 Goes down the Dixie Clay spur line in Bath SC.
My best shots of thie engine yet, on 3/6/06 this engine was involved in an accident with an 18 wheeler in Langley. While it wasn't totaled it did have damage to the snow plow and hand rails. I only saw the pictures on the news I was in school at the time of the accident.
This kinds blowed because this train had two former conrail units in it and it had to be the common dash-9 that was on poiot. I made a last ditch effort to get the conrail engines but failed. I do have a bad photo of them but I haven't decided if I want to load it.
This makes Rual Aiken county look like Northern California. The tempture made it feel that way to.
The engineer stopped the train at a local gas station and bought me some time to get some good shots.
This train clears the site of the Graniteville train wreck. You can see the spur line that the accident happened on.
As soon as this train stopped in Warrenville I stopped my bike and got some photos then I went to Graniteville and waited on it to get there.
Train 191 to Augusta.
NS 5237 is the rear unit on train 191 going into Augusta. Notice this GP38-2 has caution lights on the roof that's something uncommon for NS.
This engine was parked and unmanned I think something was wrong with it other than the fact that the left ditch light is out.
Idling on dixie clay line.
NS 7007 switching while NS 5024 is parked.
Ns local P22 clears under the SC highway 421 bridge with NS 7007 on point.
I took this photo while bass fishing on Langley pond. This is actually part of the swampy creek that feeds into the back of the pond.
BNSF 4824 leads 191 while idling at Cytex mills in Langley.
This dash-9 runs loose alone on the Columbia Augusta line (R-line) this site is uncommon in Graniteville for a big six axle to be running like this I suspect this engine was being sent to pick up a broke down engine because I saw it again in Langley coupled up with an appearntly crippled NS 4606 but unfourtanly I failed to get a photo of it then.
I thought it was a good idea to get this street sign in this photo with the train in the background.
I was surprised to see this dash-9 still in primer.
On an interesting note this train had a young female crew member but I wasn't able to get a picture of her.
5863 Laying idle just off off of river watch park way.
