Michigan State University has their own coal power plant to provide power to the University campus. All of their coal is delivered by CSX, and sometimes a dedicated unit train is run to the plant from Kentecky coal mines. Once the coal is delivered, this little GE switcher does the work of positioning the cars for unloading. Most railfans who visit the East Lansing have no idea that is here, and I who live in this town have even taken this loco for granted. I think this is a 44 Tonner, but I've been told by several people that it is a 45. If anyone knows for sure, please comment here. UPDATE: I've learned through an Email that this is a 45 Tonner.

Q335 rolls past the relay case for Harrison road.
Less than a week after seeing this pair of BNSF engines in Fostoria, OH, we see them again leading CSX Q327-25 across Harrison road.

CN 396 heads east past the Amtrak station after meeting 397 at Trowbridge.
Conrail (CSX) 5961 leads sister engine 5948 eastbound on CN train 392. I guess they must like me, because 10 days before this was taken, I saw the 5960 in Fostoria, OH. 5960 and 5961 are the only two remaining Conrail painted B40-8s on the CSX roster.

UP 4148 leads this autorack train eastwards on the CN nearing the Amtrak station. Just prior to this photo being taken, this train exchanged salutes with CSX Q326 at Trowbridge.
CSX Q327-31, with two relatively new 5200s on the point, waits for a green light in Trowbridge siding. The smokestacks from MSU's Coal plant can be seen in the background
Q327 pulls out of Trowbridge siding with two new GEVOs.
CSX Q326 - The First and, so far, only B40-8 to repainted in the YN3 Scheme.
Q327 west
Q326-31 heads east after working Lansing. The original picture came out just horrible, so I made this out of it in photoshop.
CSXT 9030 single-handedly hauls this westbound G879-29 grain train westbound at Harrison road. I saw this train from the high way in Webberville, and we beat it back here for a picture
CN 5733 single-handedly hauls Train 395 west at the Amtrak station. This train had just missed hitting an *extremely stupid* jogger just a few seconds before this photo was taken.
CN 6018 leads this 87 car eastbound train on Main #2 at the Amtrak station
CSXT 2622 and 2724 lead D709 thru East Lansing enroute to Fowlerville, operating long hood forward, elephant style.
