On a warm April day, CSX AC44CW #267 and lease unit HLCX SD40-2 #6248 blast through Graysville, Georgia on the (W&A - Western & Atlantic subd.) toward Chattanooga. 6248 was once UP 3971 but was built for Mopac as 6071 to BN specs for pool unit coal train service in the late 1970s.
On a blistering August afternoon, CSX 3271 and 3329 lead a train to an easy stop near the north end of the siding at MP 121 on the W&A (Western & Atlantic) to allow for a "sawtooth" passing of another train. The siding is just south of the Tennessee state line and about 10 miles from downtown Chattanooga.
