Thanks to Picasa2 for the ability to play around with stuff. Also I went through some old pictures I took around 80'-81' in Shenandoah. I took pictures of my old pictures so the quality is not the best but it re-kindled some good memories and I hope it reminds you too of simpler less troubled times. I've also added some track landscapes which are enhanced by nature itself, not Picasa2.

Again, around 1980.
NW Caboose # 518517 sits behind this old beast, soon to be but a memory replaced by the E.O.T.
A girl I dated in college had grandparents who we visited in Portsmouth. The huge yard was a nice find and the biggest I'd seen at this point in my rail fanning.
Man Oh Man how I miss those days.......Wish the quality were better.

This is a picture of a picture I took around 1980. I was 18 at the time and having fun with my first 35mm camara (Minolta)! This too was shortly after having found this yard in Shenandoah.
This too was taken in 1980 just outside the old engine house for The C&W, since torn down. Unknown of course at the time that big changes were on the horizon for Southern, NW and the Chesapeake & Western. I wish the picture quality was better was again I was just getting my feet wet at the time.
