Ex BN Yard hosts the WC Transfer,SOO,UP, and Amtrak.
Two Remotes watch as their big brothers takb a Z Train to Cicero.
Empire Builder @ 7 15.
An out of towner Remote joins 4 other engines at Northtown. Whero is this based out of?
A strange lashup moves around in the yard. All elephant was pretty neat too!
A dying breed.....
A nice shot of 2 great looking Cascade SD40-2s, a nice sight iQ todays endless stream of GEVOs....
A fairly nice looking YN2 unit is paired up with a GP60M this morning.
A brand spankin new GEVO, 7556, leads 3 dirty yet cooler SD40-2s, xwo being Green Furballs.
Looking tired, but still going!
Taconite loads head East.
More of a fan of the 83 and 84XXs, for the flexicoil trucks and heddlights, but if the lights are up high these are much better looking.
A very orange cab leads a GEVO and a Greinstien MAC.
The Empire Builder passes the Coal Loads waiting at the crew change point.
A manifest creeps through the modern day "Hole In the Wall".
Three CSX units and Three NS units showed up today. Nice to see.
My favorite CSX units, the 83 and 84XXs!
A nice set of black power at Northtown. Those have to be the coolest Dash 9s around.
A cool and odd consist glides through the South Runner with two MACs on a Z Train.
Two MACs tackle a coal load.
Full of Unit trains this mornin. The train in the backround was another unit train.
Wow, a 5 unit conist of nothing but orange and green. Maybe with 5 Dash 9s thats easy, but its pretty rare to get all BNSF with the variety shown.
These lil' girls have been around the block more than twice. Ive seen this consist before, but didnt get a shot of it.
One of the many white faces that have shown up lately.
Along with about 5 otheres brought out and put on a different storage track.
All elephant style Warbonnetts. An interesting sight-
Lookin pretty rough right now, maybe the boys over in the east will dip her in some nice YN3 :^)
Cant get enough leasers. Ex SP.
Tac loads get a roll on em.
All CSX in the shops this morning. And a lovely YN3 SD40-2!
Power off a freight heads back to the shops.
One of 5 CSX units seen in just over 3 hours at Northtown. This was neat to see this one in the old YN1!
My love for EMD and CSX forced me to follow this power when it departed with its train.
A pair of burners switch around. And to think someday this too will be a classic....scary
And the train at 35th. A lovely sound and sight for sure!
The other CSX SD40-2 in the consist.
The WC Transfer will wait much longer after this shot was taken to head back to New Brighton.
A nice FURball leads three other units on a manifest. Props to the person who put the Dash 9 trailing!
A short stack train gallops through the bridge construction. It will set out for the WC Transfer at the other end of the T Yard.
The Tac train barrels through the yard, while the 7768 performs some switching duties before departing.
A pair of BNSF units (well, the EMD unit might as well be) flank two out-of-towners.
I just shot this unit a few tracks over in the diesel shops about 2 weeks prior. She was joined by another SD40-2, and a NREX SD45-2.
A pretty clean SD40-2 runs through Northtown.
Shunned by BNSF, the 6499 belongs to NREX. NeverRepainted......Ever.
A pair of Is and a Dash 9 make for a very modern consist, as far as this manifest goes.
Doesnt look like the WC anymore, matter of fact, everything but. GTW,IC, and CN make up the consist.
A vintage GP40 with no dynos sits 2nd out on the WC Transfer.
Brand spanking new, this GEVO heats up the skyline early in the morning with a baretable.
The only GEVOs that I enjoy seeing.
Ummmm. That was the first thing that came to my mind after seeing this. Looks to be ex SP, and adorned in BNSF paint, just without the logos.
The 7923 gets taken for a spin with the yard goat.
