Flood Detoured Coal Train UP Train CHSJR9 29 runs past the MNLTT 02 tied down in Junland Siding.

This train was just pulled into the siding.

Another Flood Detour is headed by one of the ex-GECX Warranty Protection Units, this one the ex-4000 was leading a Flood Detoured UP Train CCLJR9 29 as it paused at Dudley.

Accelerating after pausing for a few minutes south of Dexter for conjestion was UP Train MNLAS 01 with 3 ex-MP SD50's trailing Dead-in-Tow.

These three are bound for East St. Louis. I'm not sure, but I got a feeling they won't be on the roster very much longer since the DRGW SD50's leases have already expired.

Detoured by flooding in Kansas, this Bonner Springs, KS Rock Train was operating through here as UP Train RNLBS 29 with 4 SD40 type engines on the head end. Back in those days I had no clue where Bonner Springs was. Now I shoot there all the time.

A sorry looking CSX Dash-8 leads UP Train AAMKB 01 at the south end of Dexter. This train was being detoured through here due to the flooding in Kansas during 2007.

A NRE NRE Genset came through on UP Train QNLCH 03 today. This was my first look at a finished one.

This empty KRL Car was in the QNLCH's train.

Graffiti always great, but this "S" car caught my eye as one of the infamous "STEEL" Cars. I've seen this car before, and one of the "E" Cars. The conductor waves as 9681 flies through the Stoddard County Highway FF Crossing about to go onto Main Track 2 at Idalia with the ZSEMN.

Coming through Phillip Street in the early morning fog on Independence Day 2007 was UP Train MINPB 03 with 3 Locomotives.

The KMNOA stops under the MO Highway 25 Overpass at North Malden to meet one last southbound after meeting one at South Malden and one in town.

The last train to meet the KMNOA at Malden was UP Train ZYCLD 03 running along catching the other two leaving town seen from the MO Highway 25 Overpass.

I'm not a big fan of the GEVO's themselves, but the clean, sharp features looked good enough for me to take a picture of the flag on this Independence Day from the MO Highway 25 Overpass.

The Poplar Bluff Fireworks Display lights up the south end of town this evening as the LSV52 Power sits at the yard office.

The Locomotives Last Assigned to UP Train LSV52 03 sit at the yard office. There were no locals on the holiday. PB puts on a decent little show for a small town. Tonight's show lasted 30 minutes.

I figured I'd shoot 777 once again, since it's soon to go back to GMTX.

A new RailPower Genset was in transit to Texas on UP Train MPRPB 03 as it left Malden after the KMNOA went north.

These two units went north through Harrisonville as we pulled up to a crossing.

Headed towards St. Louis down the ex-PRR was CSX Train E966 with two UP SD9043AC's up front between the I-70 and Illinois Route 17 overpasses. Thanks to Tracy Bone for the train symbol.

Taking UP Train GSRKPG 10 past the Malden Yard Office was a couple SD9043AC's.

Sitting in Malden Siding was UP Train MSKPB 11 with a C40-8 that was repainted on 2-22-07 at NLR.

Headed over a bridge that spans a field road and the St. Francis River on the bridge in the distance, UP Train QNLCH 16 slows before heading into the Ives Siding.

Leading UP Train MPIPB 16 was an NS GEVO and an ex-UP, nee-CNW SD60.

Headed towards Dexter past MP 145 on the UP Hoxie Sub. was UP Train ZMXYC 14 with what was the first Kansas City Southern de Mexico Locomotive I've ever seen. This is an ex-TFM Partial Repaint. I remember thinking how weird the italic numberboards looked.

Southbound MNA Train KCMNAZ 18 was getting underway headed towards Carthage after waiting for a northbound with two RailAmerica's RailTex Red Painted SD40-2's which were ex-MP and ex-SOO, and an ex-SP, nee-SSW SD45T-2 running third. Sure is great to have an ex-MP on an ex-MP Line. It's also nice to have these ex-Mo-Pac and ex-Cotton Belt Locomotives follow me. MNA 4081 was built as MP 3188 in March 1975 with a Builder Number of 74690-25. It became UP 4188 on 2-2-88, and was retired on 4-19-90. After that it was renumberd to GATX 2006 on 12-9-90, dynamic brakes installed by Conrail at Juniata Shops, Altoona, Pennsylvania, then became CP 5428 on 10-5-94, then to Helm Financial on 9-23-99, then finally to MNA 4081 during 10-99.

One of the old wooden rebuilt boxcar cabooses from the KCS sits on display in town flying the Missouri State Flag.

Coming through South 2nd Street was UP Train AMXAS 17 with a Dash-8 and a Tunnel Motor. Notice the pigeon on thh right rail in front of the train.

The local reads out of town headed for Dexter as UP Train LSI55 19 with the MP Depot in the background.

Newer, new, and old power leads UP Train KTAMN6 14 past Malden Yard. All but 4 containers on this train were K Line.

I made a detour on the way to St. Louis to see UP Train KOAMN 17 with both Olympic Units on the front. They made a cool sight on Main Track 2 headed through Kidd Lake Road at MP 34.4. Even my mom, who was hitching a ride with me to St. Louis thought this pair was pretty cool.

Headed down the A&S Main past the corn towards Gateway Yard is UP Train MYCAS 21. It'll head back tomorrow on the MASPR 22. The trailing unit was UP 3071, an ex-CNW SD40-2.

An Unpatched BN leads BNSF Train C SBMSLW0 48 through WR Tower with a particularly bad horn. BNSF 9451 was trailing, BNSF 8890 was the DPU.

Engineer Spiv plays on the choo choo while running restricted speed through Pontoon Road. Can you spot the phoamer in this picture? Ie also thought he was on UP 6787 until we informed him what it said on the side of his unit.

Spiv puts up a little smoke as ha comes up to 25th Street with UP Train CKIAT 20 bound for the Powder River Basin.

We found the same SD40-2 set from last week tied down in Butler beside the power plant.

An ex-DRGW Tunnel Motor leads the train as it climbs the hill in the town I'm moving to in early August.

We chased the train up to Harrisonville where it passed through as shadows were getting longer.

This isn't much to look at since it's been pretty much messed up, but it's still an MP Caboose. I'm not sure what's up with the maroon and the UP Shields. This is actually MP 13108 according to the ACI Label, even though it is lettered MP 12226. This caboose was supposed to have been displayed at White Oak, Texas at the elementary school and supposedly the railroad was asked to come get it, which they did. From the new pedestrian bridge on Ozone Day we see a UP Train climbing out of the West Bottoms through Union Station on KCT Trackage.

The train was tying up here at Butler for the time being.

Headed down the ex-MP were these 2 GP40's running long hood forward with rock in tow. You might have noticed the ex-MP Caboose on the rear of the train. The train was headed from Kansas City down to Nevada to do some MOW Work on the MNA Clinton Branch, which is ex-MKT.

I believe this sat unused for a while. It sure was a welcome sight on this train.

The ex-Mo-Pac Caboose hangs onto the rear of the train as it rolls down the MNA's ex-MP Line. Very fitting if you ask me.
