Dense fog and temperatures in the upper 50s in January in Ohio? I'm not complaining.
Nice job getting the numbers straight!
Q361-08 at Hussey Rd.
I have to admit, three or more of these all in this paint scheme look pretty good.
Would've looked nicer in the lead!
CSX trackage, everyone el{es power!
Road slug 2248 waits in the yard as a northbound pauses on the main in the confusion.
Southbound runs out of time thanks to unexpected snow and resulting bottle neck.
One of many track crews shows up to sweep the switches.
Front half of this southbound has been sitting here since before the snow kicked in.
While track crew works on a frozen switch ahead of them.
Disinterested citizen crosses in front of s/b that was likely there when he left work.
Check the handrail.
Heard this one on the scanner. They were NOT happy to be left sitting as long as they were.
The snow caused some MAJOR head aches today. Several s/b's were stacked up with word that Queensgate couldn't handle them and no one else could either. K517 recoupled to their train after cutting a crossing only to be told they had to go back and cut it again because they weren't going anywhere. It was a real mess.
Not as interesting as N&W 611.
Hope the guy on the bike wasn't in a hurry, as this train stopped and tied down about 3 car lengths after this shot was taken.
An hour later and they made it to the next crossing.
Local scientists and gov't leaders are baffled.
Thought this yn3 paint got white handrails, but it was frost from running through fog to the north.
NS 264 w/UP and BNSF power glides west through SevenMile
Eastbound CSX train pauses at Oxford til they can handle them on down the line.
Sometimes it's a good idea to take the scenic route home...
Parked at the Country Mark silos at Seven Mile.
