After taking a lunch break we headed south to CSX's & Metro-North's Croton yards and found these two CSX units idling at 1:40 pm.
Just a closer look at CSX #7927, southbound at Iona Island at 12:30 pm.
We jumped across the river to catch CSX #7927 southbound at Iona Island with 2 hoppers and a string of tank cars at 12:30 pm.
About 1:05 pm, between all the moves on Metro-North I looked across the river and recorded this shot of a CSX freight heading south on the River Line.
Our first train of the day was Metro North #211 heading northbound At Manitou Station, NY at 11:15 am.

MN #225 is northbound at Manitou at 1:12 pm after the previous southbound went by at 1:11 pm. Trackwork north of Manitou reduced the double track to single and Manitou Interlocking was the south end of the single-track limit.

After a quick turnaround the MN #211/#6205 train we photographed northbound at 11:15 am returned south at 1:10 pm.
