B-MOMSAG
This is a shet that I want over again. A rare move from the plant in Monticello and the train is crossing over a bridge that has a small creek just below. Not much I can do when the photo was taken(at 11:13 pm
About a year ago when the last movement was made, these crossing signals didnt work. The BNSF must have fixed them as they are clearly working here but under FRA rules, the conductor must get out of the cab and flag all crossings that are marked exepmt. In the City of Monticello, all crossings are exempt.
Approaching a public crossing just out side of Xcel's energy plant, the train is about to stop and the conductor will get out and flag the crossing. Photo was taken at 11:08 pm
Even at 1Í:10 pm, my camera wouldnt focus just yet as we see a rare move out of Xcel's plant in Monticello. Here the conductor is flagging the crossing, which they have to do at all crossings in Monticello.
With a generator in tow, the conductor gets back in the train after flagging the crossing on the west end of Monticello. All crossings are exempt in Monticello and the crews are responsible for stopping and flagging each crossing.
A very rare sight to see in the City of Monticello, in the form of a train heading eastbound with a generator from Xcel's Energy Generating Plant not picutred here due to light reasons. This is the first train the city has seen in almost a year. May of 2010 was the last train to make an appearance and before that it was a 3 year gap and a 9 year gap in between trains. Photo was taken about 11:30 pm

4 people help flag the crossing at Hwy 25 in downtown Monticello while the train slowly proceeds though.

BNSF will cut off the power and take the siding to run around and then shove this load to the plant.
Looks like its going to tip over! Nah, the rails arent in the best shape to begin with.
