Just as I was leaving for work this eastbound manifest came under the HY-30 overpass in Bliss. I got out ahead of him and captured this shot at 1700 Rd in Gooding, Idaho.
While waiting for an Officer Special to arrive, I captured this eastbound manifest at 2300 Rd just east of Gooding, Idaho.

This mornings weather didnt hold much promise. Long about the time this westbound heavy-weight coal train appeared it was downright nasty. Still, you take your shots when you can get them. Here, UP-5591 and 2 running mates get the train moving out of the siding at Bliss, Idaho.

Slowly climbing the Medbury Hill grade, UP-4954 leads two other units and a mixed manifest westbound at MP-387, near Hammett, Idaho. The old OSL grade is seen in the bright green line across the lower portion of the photo. This line was replaced sometime in the early 1900s by the line the train is on now.
