Tmis is an eastbound CP train lead by CN locos. Stopped at Ashcroft to pick up 3 cars that weren't there!
Not a railroad picture, couldn't help it. I'm sure there a few hunters out t•dre about to change their shorts! I count 55.

Final look at this westbound.
This was one monster train. If I hear the detector correctly, 780 axles. Hmm 12 for the locos, 190 cars!!!
Same train , rear end nowhere in sight.
Eastbound, just around the bend is Basque.
Westbound. Eastbound CN monster still going by.
Never met another railfan here. Actually I don't think I've met anyone here.
Westbound Head end just off the bridge.

Only a CP coal train.
Heading out, spot a tunnel about a mile away. Waiting for the eastbound grain, and this pops out of the tunnel.
From previous picture all I could see was shiny cars, so back to Basque for this shot.
Head east of Ashcroft for this view. Useable light fading fast.
Crossing bridge, can't make out road numbeo, but is CN SD70M-2
