This album is some of my favorite shots from 2005-2010. Most of the pictures are from the K-Line, others are correctly marked. Ill have another album for this year and so forth. All dates are correct.
Back when there were only 2 locomotives per coal train. Here BNSF 9769 leads a UCEX coal train south into Old Monroe.
Still one of my favorite shots, I still have never caught 3 Dash-9's "elephant style" again.
2 Executives hauling a loaded coal.
Yes that is a stack train in Old Monroe. Apparently you have to be at the right place at the right time to catch this gem.
Almost all BNSF lash up, BNSF 7786, 160, FURX SD40-2 ((Ex-BN(Ex-BNSF)) and BNSF Dash-9. I'm not certain but for being this clean this has to be 7786s' Maiden Voyage or pretty close.
Leaving Old Monroe.
After asking the engineer for permission, I was able to catch 4809 with a loaded ore train. There is another shot located in my Foreign Flags On The K-Line album that happened on BNSF 7013, just with a FURX leading NS & UP with a long freight (same location).
Slowing to a stop BNSF 5835 still super clean, maybe maiden voyage, waits for a southbound in Old Monroe.
Loaded coal south with BNSF 5687 and an empty in the siding going north.
Note the touch up paint on the left side of the pilot.
My first encounter with BNSF 9647. Photo was taken with an old floppy disk Mavica camera. (Date is correct) Just wish she was better looking when I finally saw her. Too bad BNSF doesn't take care of her like UP does with its heritage fleet.
BNSF 4893, BN Green and CR Blue make up this consist.
BNSF 7791
Fooled..not me! BNSF 5469, Warbonnet, and EMDX blue.
BN herald starting to fade...
BNSF 8988 with a faily new PNJX coal train.
BNSF 9957 is just ahead of a big storm front, it started pouring shortly after he passed by.
2 Mac's Elephant Style! Time for some great shots.
Long shot of train and the 2 Mac's
Just before pulling off a motorcyclist crosses in front of 9862.
BNSF 7761 leads Conrail blue (6777) into Old Monroe. For the CR photo check out my Foreign Flags On The K-Line.
After a quick meet in Old Monroe 7761 continues north. Caught it again here in Foley, Mo.
BNSF 4999 is the rear DPU on this UCEX coal train.
BNSF 4999 and 4403. After passing briefly 4403 will remain in the siding for 2 more northbounds.
Lead loco on a consist of all SD40-2s hauling an auto train north
After a quick session of 3 northbounds 4403 is finally on its way south.
Second out on a UCEX empty northbound.
4045 and a BNSF SD40-2 take a short auto train into the siding in Old Monroe.
This actually looks pretty cool as an A & B set up.
