The local pulls out of the Staley property as the old classic drives away as well.
A 55' or 56' Chevy passes this NS local with all tank cars that has completed it's work at the A E Staley Plant and heads back to Morrisville freight yard.
NS 5281 enters the Staley corn syrup plant to pick up a load of tank cars. Amtrak's bridge that carries the NEC spans the Deleware River into New Jersey is seen in the background. The stone arch viaduct was completed by the Pennsylvania Railroad in Approx 1906. It still to this day carries Amtrak, NJ Transit, SEPTA, as well as an occasional Conrail (CSAO) local freight across the river. The viaduct has truly withstood the test of time!
Another shipment of about 10 tank cars loaded with corn syrup heads into the AE Staley plant

I raced this from about a mile away to take this photo. Luckily Amtrak has a rule that freights are restricted to 30 MPH in most sections of the NEC. My speed limit on US13 is 40 MPH.
