This Operation Lifesaver GP-59 leads a short consist of tank cars north on the Marion Branch as it begins the climb up the Marion hill. I thought it might have been a local running up the branch a bit, but saw it again north of Leesburg. It must have been going all the way to Elkhart.
While out for a ride after lunch we ran across this ex-BN & and NS OP-Lifesaver doing some switching in Dunkirk. I thought the hand lettering was a nice touch. It was formerly numbered 8085 as BN, BNSF & HLCX.
After 10E cleared West Lagro switch, 21T gets a green board to continue on west.
21T rolls into Wabash after passing the signal at Wabash Jct.
L42 approaches 23rd Street has it heads south on the Marion Branch. About 5-6 minutes later it struck a Jeep that ignored the flashers. Thankfully no injuries.
