A heavy storm the night before caused multiple downed trees and wires along the Port Road Branch. NS empty grain train 45M passes the downed trees recently cleared off the mainline after holding for many hours
Running over 12 hours late due to downed trees, NS 23W has just been recrewed by H19 at Blue Rock Rd and starts west
Norfolk Southern 23W passes Cola Tower on the way west to Harrisburg. Getting westbound trailers here in good light is a very rare occurence
NS Trailer/Mixed freight train 23W approaches CP Shocks on the Port Road Branch, running multiple hours behind
NS 23W heads west on the Royalton Branch. Not only is the TOFC train running many hours late, seeing it on the Roy Branch has become quite the rare occurrence due to a usual Enola drop.
An Amtrak special was run between Harrisburg Station and the Susquehanna River for passengers to watch the fireworks show from City Island. Trains usually don't make it out this far on the unused Cumberland Valley main, making this a very rare occurrence
A Union Pacific SD70ACe leads NS 212 up the Lurgan Branch on a hot and muggy 4th of July
