This track is in some bad shape , and is used everyday.
Its a shame to see all the industry closed down. You can tell that there was alot here at one time.
This is a picture going toward the crossing of CSX toward Mullins. On the right is an old signal base that use to stand guard when the SCL use to own these lines. The only thing here now is a crash gate that swings.
The old tracks going toward Marion have been cleared and cut, wonder why?
The heavily scarred face of Carolina Southern GP30 2613 is detailed at Mullins SC. Obviously a former Southern unit, it also carries the weathered herald of the Waccamaw Coast Line on its nose.
Carolina Southern GP38 3617 sits with GP30 2613 near the CSX crossing at Mullins SC on a cloudy day. 3617 is a former Yadkin Valley unit, originally MEC.
