Description:  Unfortunately, the RRPA data base does not have an option for the 2-6-6-4 wheel config from Baldwin. This loco was built by Baldwin in 1934 as Seaboard Air Line #2502. It was then sold to the B&O in August of 1947 and renumbered BO 7702 as seen here later. The loco lasted only 6 more years on the roster before being sold for scrap in March of 1953. Specs - 69" drivers, impressive 230 psi boiler pressure, four sets of 22x30" cylinders, massive engine weight of 480,000 lb, tractive effort of 82,000 lb. No exact date or photographer was listed for the photo.

Description:  With steam swirling around the engine and a full tender of coal, Pennsylvanai 2-8-2 Mikado #546 is waiting in the Hagerstown, PA yard for its next assignment. Built by the PRR's own Juniata Shops June of 1916 (Juniata serial #3084, L1s class), the loco was a vital component in the massive PRR roster. It lasted for nearly 43 years before being scrapped in October of 1959 Specs - 63" drivers, 205 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine wt of 315,000 lb and tractive force of 61,465 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo.
