8.8.1989 Kemper Street Station, Lynchburg, VA. NS 7016 is the trailing unit of the usual makeup of a trio of locomotive power for the southbound train #221. Photo was taken at 5:25pm on a warm summer's afternoon at the end of a long day of chasing trains in Central Virginia.

For a second Saturday in a row, the power for P86 was NS GP50 #7016. Here is 7016 seen passing at Magnolia.

Not quite on the Georgia Division of NS, but close enough. P68 smokes it up rolling through Norcross, GA.
NS P61 roars upgrade with quite the electic mix of older power, which includes two GP50s and a former Oakway SD60.
I was glad to see these units come out of storage!
