Burlington Northern Railroad E9AM 9919 and NW2 515 at Cicero, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1980, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. My guess is that 9919 was on its was to West Burlington Shops for maintenance.

BN 9919 was delivered as CB&Q 9989A in January 1956.
It's a busy time outside Union Station as a commuter train backs down, BN 9919 leads another train out of town, and a Amtrak French Turbo drifts by.
BN 9919 was retained by BN after its commuter days were over.
The westbound we saw in the distance while the eastbound made its stop is now upon us at high speed.

A very clean 9919 hauls the 7 cars of train #1217 up the center track.
The dinky parade is on, with three trains visible in this shot. BN 9919 was ex-BN 9980, nee-CB&Q 9989A. She was later "executive E" BN-3. Date of photo approximate.
