Fourth unit on an empty westbound open hopper coal train
Q131
A southbound coal train rolls into Wagoner in the ex MKT. Funny how some units you encounter in multiple places. I have a shot of the leader on the KCS in Siloam Springs.
Eastbound stack train approaching Clinton
I heard a horn from the house and went to check what it was. Turned out to be this northbound AEPX train with a pair of UP units leading. It met the southcound coil train seen elsewhere in this album. We see it in a broadside near the animal shelter.
An eastbound manifest has just departed Miller Yard and is passing through SP Junction in South Dallas behind two General Electric diesels.
After opening the switch, the conductor climbs aboard his idling C44ACCTE and will soon depart Miller Yard heading east through SP Junction.
Another manifest train departs Miller Yard behind two dirty AC44CWs.
YSPBN heads light power back to S. St. Paul.

Union Pacific GE C44ACCTE faces west on eastbound coal empties returning from the Intermountain Power Project near Delta, Utah. The location is Leamington, Utah on Union Pacific's Sharp Subdivision about six miles east of Lynndyl. UP's Sharp Subdivision is the old Provo Subdivision between Provo and Lynndyl. Six miles west of this location is the town of Lynndyl where the Sharp Subdivision from Provo connects with UP's former Los Angeles and Salt Lake Mainline to Milford, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. The train is about to enter Leamington Canyon and Sevier River Canyon. The railroad will cross the highway at Soma Grade Crossing before entering Sevier River Canyon. From there the railroad will turn north at Mills heading through Nephi, Santaquin towards Provo.
Three big Union Pacific GE's lead a string of IPP Coal Empties at Leamington,Utah on UP's Sharp Subdivision. The train is being returned back to the Utah Railway at Provo for the trip back to the Savage Mine near Price for a refill.
From Three Mile Road at MP 145 the train stretches half way back to Dudley. You can see another train waiting behind this one in Dudley. They flashed their lights at us again as we were leaving, they said they would do the same if they saw us again. UP 6004 was the DPU. We went by Dexter B-B-Q for some ribs and then headed home with the goodies. As we were pulling into Dexter B-B-Q they were moving past One Mile Road, they tied the train down at MO Jct. and went off duty at 18:05.

Sitting at the Yard Office was 14 UP Units of various models and origins. You might also be able to pick out the DRGW Heritage Locomotive at the right near the end of the row. The crew was boarding the string at the far left getting ready to go down to the yard to tie onto a loaded coal train.
You can see the hidden gem in the engine line on the far right.
