NS Southbound Local Freight Train A55 ( Birmingham to Boligee, Al. ) heads into the siding at Tuscaloosa, Al. on their way to interchange with AGR in Boligee, Al. A38 relieved A55 at Tuscaloosa, Al. on this day, most of the time A55 runs out of time before they make it to Boligee & has to get relieved by A38, which is the northbound counterpart of A55, at one time the northbound counterpart of A55 was A56, now it's A38. Between Amtrak & other higher priority trains A55 doesn't have a good chance of making it over the road most days due to having to work Bessemer & Tuscaloosa, Al.

NS 5504 on the AB something or another local. The crew on the AB had been setting at this spot all day, shortly after this pic, they were picked up after going on the hours and another crew dropped off. It was the day after Memorial Day so there were trains a plenty and they didn't have much of a chance to get between them to do their work.
