The Tier runs through about 1/2 mile or so of a wooded area between MP 232 and Hiawatha Rd. 39T is coming out of that short forest behind a quintet of SDs-all of them in more or less the same paint-passing the Erie tri light automatic signal at MP 234. This was only one of a variety of signal types on the Erie, which it seemed, could not make up their minds about which to use.
39T rolls west at west Endicott, passing the eastbound signal at 224-2, by then the last working semaphore on the Tier. It would last another year at the time of this photo.
SD40-2 6062 helps sisters out with a switching assignment at the Lethbridge yard
Overlooking the CP Lethbridge Yard northwards, CP SD40-2s switch the southeast end, while another SD40-2(5973) shunts the other end in the distance. A few CP GEs and Geeps sit far ahead at the shops area.
CP 8860 9704 6062 reverses back into Wolverton Yard.
Quite a nice latchup today on 422 as he chugs out of the yard bound for toronto.
A trio of SD40-2s sat at Robert St. for three days until I snapped quite a few pictures.
