The DPU on the oil train passes the sign for the local Assembly of God, which is across the tracks in "town." Ill give up the chase here, and head back for home, since the light is now getting too low, and theres no viable chase farther south.
This is the point where you have to give up the chase. Except for a couple of spots in the next mile, theres no way to continue the chase in any meaningful way, as the roads dont support a high speed run. Thus, I rolled the train by, getting the DPU as they went past, a mix of power as has become typical on these trains.
The DPU of the oil train crosses Baron Creek.

After a few pics of the Trillium ALCO, I headed just around the corner to the CP Welland yard, and was surprised to find myself just in time to catch 247 again as it slowly entered the yard at the east end.

The sun came out just enough to light up CP Train 247 at Canal Bank Street overpass.

UP 5374 - CP 9351 - UP 5524 triple near trio CREX-BNSF-BNSF on the Port of Vancouver / BNSF loop down in the west/northwest sliver of the Vancouver Industrial / Port area where a long line of Canadian Geese quickly waddle away from the insane humanoid out in the pouring rain attempting to snap pictures of trains in the dark a few moments after four oclock in the late afternoon/early evening. (unfortunately no matter how I tried I wasnt able to coax any meaningful data off the CREX trio. Dang. Thought it somewhat humorous to have the Canadian Geese as foreground to Canadian Pacific work-horse. The glowing lights of United Grain in the distance.
CP 9351 in the middle of the UP power triple, apparently doing the smart thing and hunkering down to sleep it off in the dark out near the entrance to the Port of Vancouver reversing / staging loop.
