BNSF 4823
Third unit on an empty westbound 4-bay covered hopper unit train
BNSF 4823 second (and last of the big girls) with mixed freight chugging south from the north ladder yard of Vancouver Center... and I have the frames of all the little local girls if youre interested, but honestly, I have better shots of them at other times, but if you are just dying to see them individually from this line-up, drop me a note and Ill get you the files (and a coupon for a free copy of one of our books - well, you can choose just the coupon or just the files if you want, but the offer is out there if youd like).
This is a crap shot (BNSF 3847 - BNSF 4823 - BNSF 2102 - BNSF 1512 - BNSF 2265) taken directly into a low sun, but tossed in here to show the odd appearance of this five-way mixed freight, which Im pretty sure was just a yard shuffle, but odd just the same.

I keep seeing a lot of CSX and NS power on the Wayzata sub these days. This train iq my third catch of 2010, incidentally. Nice to be back on the scene!
A year ago on Easter day I caught a train. A year later I did likewise! Here comes a westbound covered hopper job on the Wayzata sub about to duck under Brown Rold.
