Empty coal train 8859 skirts a snowy field at Summersville, between Hallstead and New Milford.
Not as high as it will be in a few minutes, though. Train 8859 rolls across Martins Creek Viaduct behind a pair of UP and four NS units. It will be on Tunkhannock in about ten minutes.

At 2:47pm, eastbound loaded tank train Z6W with rear end helper set NS #6319 (SD40E) and NS #6304 (SD40E) passed through Cresson, Pennsylvania on track one revealing another train. All stopped at CP MO to recrew the helper set, eastbound mixed freight train 16N with NS #9377 (C40-9W), NS #8959 (C40-9W) and NS #7560 (ES40DC) sits on track two.

From time to time, NS would send coal to the D&H via Harrisburg. On CP these would be symbolled 8858 north and 8859 south, with varying symbols on NS, though Ive seen 87T and 88T used. Here we see one of the 8859 trains crossing "baby Tunkhannock" more properly known as Martins Creek Viaduct south of Kingsley PA, with a pair of UP leaders.
