BNSF Railway (BNSF) 4125 - GE C44-9W

A genset was front and center in the locomotive shops today. BNSF has been quickly getting rid of these over the years. Not sure if this one is still rostered or on its way to a new home.

One of the remote control equipped Dash-9s based at the Galesburg yard. The night prior, this locomotive had been engaged in working the yard when it over ran a switch and sideswiped a switch job that was working on an adjacent track, tearing up it's right side in the process. It's unclear what will happen to the 647, but due to how old the 647 is and the sheer number of Dash-9s that BNSF owns, withdrawl probably isn't out of the question.
