A Conrail job shoves in a large cut of autoracks at the terminal in Ridgefield Heights
Shot of the day.....NS 4859, a recent AC44C6M rebuild graduate from Wabtecs Fort Worth Texas facility. Its so fresh from rebuild, you can smell the paint on it! NS 4859 is on 10K at Ramona Road in Avon Heights, PA 8/10/2024. NS 4849 was built as BNSF C44-9W 4957. Male a note of the trailing engines fuel tank, the huge "coast to coast" fuel tank reveals that it is a former Erie Lackawanna SD45-2...NS 1701, Ex-CR 6655, Exx EL 3670. Some people call this area Myerstown, If I recall correctly, the railroad considers this to be Avon Heights. Some consider this area to be part of near by Lebanon.
