Great Walton Railroad GP35 GRWR 136 is park on the tracks beside Bowman Highway north of Elberton.
The 136 is a former RF&P GP35 that was damaged by a collision with a set of stored spine cars. The unit was repaired with a rear end from wrecked GNRR GP35 372.
The 136 is a former RF&P unit that was repaired with the longhood of GNRR GP35 372, its currently in and out of service with electrical issues. Behind it is DRGW 3044 and the ancient fuel storage tanker.
Where else can you find a consist like this! 5/7ths of Hartwells roster is being used to lug one very heavy hopper back to Lavonia. Really only the first two units are online.
The 136 would not load so it had to be set out.
Hartwell RR locomotives 136 and 1973 await duty at Lavonia, GA. The 'road warrior" look of 136 is due to collision repair utilizing hood sections from a former Georgia Northeastern unit.
