Illinois Central (IC) 6065 - Rebuilt EMD SD40-2R

Coupled in the middle of a set of locos are Illinoise Central SD40-2 #6112 & SD40-2R #6045 at the Jackson MS yard. IC SD40-2 #6112 was built by EMD in February of 1976 originally as Burlington Northern #6721 but it landed on the IC roster sometime after 1986. The current status is unknown. This is a photo from the Dennis E. Conniff collection.

Running in the second position, we caught this mixed freight while helping do some clean up at the station. Month and year good, day is close.

I just missed this guy coming out of the tunnel so a going-away shot of IC 6065 will have to do at East Dubuque

This engine was making some funny noises while idling.

CN Train M33891-06 (Merchandise Train, Waterloo, IA - Chicago, IL) heads east towards Freeport, IL and a crew change.

CN Train M33891-06 (Merchandise Train, Waterloo, IA - Chicago, IL) heads east at M.P. 148 on the CN Dubuque Sub.

The CN East Dubuque Local passes by Murphy as it heads east on BNSF Main Track 2 (BNSF Aurora Sub).

CN SD40-3 #6256 and IC SD40-2R #6065 lead a Westbound Manifest over the IC bridge. If you look closely under the bridge, you will be able to see the Sears Tower.
