The pair continue up the former Elgin, Joliet and Eastern mainline on the east side of Griffith,IN, with CN's Kirk yard in Gary, IN, their destination.

CN SD75I # 5628 is in the lead with KCS ES44AC #4860 trailing as the pair head toward CN's Kirk Yard just north into Gary, IN along the former Elgin, Joliet & Eastern mainline, now a CN property. KCS is a rare foreign power in northwest indiana, at least around Griffith!

H2A dabbled around Owego long enough that it was met by several other trains, including this somewhat overpowered 47 car 41T. The action is seen from the parking lot of the Owego Erie station, at the time a restaurant. Good lunch there that day!!
