A great lashup of two SD45s and an SD40-3 head off to point on a clear Jan day.
The transfer works its way up the hill on an earny January morning. This was one of the last times the 6590 and 6591 were down here. The two WC SD45s were retired about two weeks later.
Three great looking SD45s wait to depart New Brighton in mid March 2005. I love the big WC shield on the nose on the 7518. Date approx.
WC train 406 blasts past at track speed blowing her horn too! This is the same train I saw in NE Mpls a couple hours earlier.
Three EMDs grind up grade, they went into notch eight right about when I took this picture. The tall trees on both sides made the sound VERY loud.
WC SD45s 6590 and 6591 climb up Shoreham Hill at 8:30 AM, making a loud sound that could be heard for at least a few miles. This was the last time these two units were down here.
WC 7514 leads two other units out of New Brighton with some snow accenting the picture.
