CSX 8507 is one of two helpers on Q368-14. Note that the conductor was uncoupming these units from the end of the train as I took this photo.
The 8527 was added to the existing helpers at Garrett because of a failure of one of the other helpers.

Another eastbound in the "jog". The jog was created when the Bagley Rd. grade crossing was bridged. The "shoo fly" was made permanent and a Nound barrier was constucted for the neighborhlod on the south side of the tracks.
This is the kind of consist worth driving somewhere for. I can only help but wonder how many times this locomotive has been in Taft in its former lives. Note the SD45-2 shell. Headlights were recently remounted from nose.
After shoving a coal train east, this helper set returns west for the next shove.
Helpers sit just clear of the Keystone crossing while the head end is at Sand Patch.
The eighth train was this freight at Allatoona Pass. To the left can be seen a marker for "An Unknown Hero", a Confederate Soldier who died here during the Civil War. To the right can be seen the original right of way before Lake Allatoona was built.
