UP 6481 pushes an eastbound into town in the afternoon
The trailing unit on this southbound looks to have been recently repainted. Looks good!!
And its clean!! UP has finally finished painting all its power in Armour Yellow, now that the last two CNW units have gone to the paint shop for the UP treatment. The ex SP GEs had been running around in patched UP reporting marks for years, and now all are repainted. There are two on this 123 car southbound on the ex MKT, hitting the diamond for the ex MP here at Wagoner. UPDATE: See Robert Jackson's comment below. I had read somewhere that UP had finally repainted all of its pre merger units in Armour Yellow. Apparently as of late March 2019, that is not the case. In any event, this one looks good in new paint.
Yellow locos pass a sea of gold. I keep thinking about that Sting song that mentions fields of gold.
