Train 675 is now at Sayre, and is about to head up the Ithaca Branch to Ludlowville with its 61 cars, where it will load at Cargill with rock salt for Vermont.
Train 675 was one of a pair of trains that ran salt from a mine north of Ithaca on the ex LV to the Vermont Railway at Whitehall on the D&H. The NS power ran through. This is the empty move, 675, passing Hiawatha Rd in Owego. It will go to Waverly, back down the connection to the ex LV at Sayre, then head north to the mine.

NS Dash9 9870 leads an SD70M-2 and another Dash9 with a unit grain train over the Hartwell Lake viaduct near Toccoa, GA. Note that Hartwell Lake is very low in this picture, barely enough to capture the reflection. I remember hearing there was a drought going on at the time I was there taking these pictures.
