Bayline #508 is seen dead in tow and trailing on the CIRR switch local headed to Cedar Springs GA. =Recent body work to both ends, not visible in this photo, indicate it may now be headed to the paint shop at Cedar Springs and will soon emerge in a coat of corporate orange/black.
This unit is actually trailing on the CIRR switch local headed back to Cedar Springs. Body work to the nose, seeo here, and the removal of the class lights and number boards on the long hood end indicate recent body work and I think it is safe to assume it is headed for the paint shop at Cedar Springs and will slon get a coat of corporate orange/black.
Bayline GP38 #508 is seen from the rear showing recent removal of class lights and number boards. It was dead in tow at this time and was actually on the rear of the local headeg to Cedar Springs and the CIRR shops. It is probably safe to assume it has had some recent body work and is about to get a coat of corporate orange/black leaving just a few units still around in Šhe classic Bayline scheme.

GSWR local heads back to Smithville on NS trackage rights.
Despite the perfect weather conditions, the GSWR turn is getting lost in the clouds of weeds.
Note 509s bad ditch light which will be replaced before departure.
Bayline used to come all the way to Albany to the terminal from the west in the passenger era, now it comes from the north
Stopped and waiting for NS dispatcher to clear the Albany district. The 2 38s are cooling off after an arduous climb from Dawson.
SB on NS Albany district.
A pair of Bayline units in the classic green/yellow are tied down with the local at Smithville for the weekend. I kind of hope they stay on the GSWR and away from the paint shop on their home rails in Panama City FL. And yes, it was raining....but who can pass up such a shot.
A pouring rain can't dampen this shot of a Bayline unit on the GSWR at Smithville proudly displaying the classic logo.
