One of the rarest switcher types on the CSX system made an appearance in Connellsville. It was held at the westbound signals at Sodem for several hours due to various other eastbound and westbound traffic. It had the train number DO59-06 and was to go pick up d work train somewhere west of Connellsville. This was built as RDG 2610 in November 1973. Later became CR 9410. For many years this only worked the Conrail Shared Assets area in New Jersey. Latele it has been used on work trains. There are only four SW1001s on the CSX roster.

The SW1001, a unique and unusual oddity on CSX, is shut down and waiting for a signal in Connellsville, after a day of ditch-clearing work on the Keystone Sub.
This little SW1001 engine is still getting some mainline action on work train DO59-17 in Broadford. It is heading back to the yard in Connellsville after being out all day.
Seen here at St. Denis in tow.
