Conrail (CR) 6031 - GE C40-8

Since the Ithaca Branch was Form D territory, there were block stations to designate track blocks. We see a 103 car UNE train for Milliken passing two of them. Rena, on the left, governs the Ithaca Branch; Croft, on the right, is on the Lehigh Secondary. There is also one at the other end of the secondary where it meets the Southern Tier, designated Wave, in Waverly.

Sunny days in the winter usually meant cold. The week between Christmas and New Years in 1989 lived up to that reputation, being one of the coldest weeks of the year. It didnt matter much to this TV 203, running right on time at BD.
