The empty oil train has heard the southbound calling, and is moving up the siding to clear the south switch.

Sometimes what I expect will be a chase in one direction, turns out to be the opposite. I was coming back from picking up pool chemicals, and heard a horn. I gave chase, beating this empty crude oil train to Gentry. When I got there, I noticed the switch lined for the siding. Looks like a meet is imminent. The oil train, five units up front, has pulled partly into the siding as it waits for what will be a southbound oil train.

The train almost looped completely around. Not sure if it had just arrived or was going to be loaded out sometime during the day today. Regardless, it was a really cool find!

It's mid-morning as an empty Burlington Northern Santa Fe empty petroleum coke train heads east past the old Imperial Sugar building.

Closing out an eastward fleet is an empty airplane parts train, heading through Tobin at 1658.

BNSF 5458 leads NS 24R, extra spine car train, north through Ossian. These trains are bound for Landers Yard in Chicago. Every so often they pop up, especially during the winter and summer months.
