In the early morning at Kansas City Terminal's Adam Street Interlocking, the Leads transfer with WAMX 3855 in charge curves past the abandoned Tower 14 on Track 4 toward Santa Fe Junction. WAMX 3855 was originally built as an EMD GP35 numbered SP 7441 in February 1964 and later rebuilt as EMD GP35R numbered SP 6300 in the 1970s. WAMX 3855 is one of two KCT "Bananas" still surviving from when Watco first took over Kansas City Terminal operations in the early 2000s, with the other being WAMX 3852.

The bananas, which were power washed yesterday, take KCT Train 311 through Adams Street Tower on their way back into KCT Mill Street yard after pulling from KCT Blue River Yard.
Coming down the hill into BN Crossing is KCT Train 311 on its way back to Mill Street Yard from Blue River Yard.
The bananas take KCT Train 311 across the KCT headed from Blue River Yard to Mill Street Yard.
Headed over the KCT Sheffield Flyover is UP Train CWEAF 25 as KCT Train 311 doubles up its train at Blue River Yard.

Hammering up through the Gooseneck is KCT Train 310 on the way to NS Avondale Yard from KCT Mill Street Yard. You might also notice the background building is "Watco Resources", a janitorial and office supply company. The engines are owned by a completely different Watco.
With friends like these...well, you know. KCT Train 310 is rolling through Adams Street headed to the NS with 19 cars as Conductor Tim Joyce hurls a water bottle towards his off duty coworker and Engineer Laura Bolt prepares to yell something about the phoamer trackside.
Returning from NS Avondale Yard with 9 cars, KCT Train 311 calls up the 105 working at Mill Street for a track to pull into. This will be the last move of the day for the "Nanners" and their crew. Barely visible at right through the fog is the KCMO Skyline.
After a day of hard work, the power off KCT Train 311 and 105 are tied down at the tower at KCT Mill Street Yard. By hard I mean the 311 did 7 hours, and over 4 of them were sitting still. Heavy stuff, folks. That's what separates the boys from the men.
Coming out of the KC West Bottoms is a transfer from KCT Mill Street Yard to UP Neff Yard. Today this job is KCT Train 311, and the bananas are lugging hard on the tonnage at Old Union Depot Interlocking.
