A patched up #4025 ex UP unit on the far west side of the station while a red line DART pulls into the station.
A Dallas, Garland, and Northeastern GP40 sits partially stripped at the Texas Northeastern shop in Sherman. Delivered to Missouri Kansas Texas as MKT GP40 202 in August 1968, this Geep would become UP 508 on June 9, 1989, then retired on October 9, 1992. That same month, RailTex purchased this unit and sent it to Missouri & Northern Arkansas as MNA 508 and would later transfer it to DGNO in March 1996 as DGNO 508. In March 1999 it was renumbered DGNO 4025 still in faded Union Pacific paint. In late 2012 DGNO 4025 was finally retired and sent to Altoona as a core to be remanufactured into an RP20BD.
