369 and its crew are to be left off in Jefferson to perform the usual local duties on the branch while the two SD70Ms take the ballast empties back north to Clyman Junction. In a few minutes the train will cross the diamond with the busy Canadian Pacific Watertown Subdivision mainline from Portage to Milwaukee.

Power bigger than a GP38-2 is almost unheard of on the Union Pacific branch line from Clyman Junction to Fort Atkinson, but here two SD70Ms are leading a ballast extra on the branch.
