CPKC 148
Empty grain train bound for Jacksonville IL.
3 Ge's power a grain empty east on the Mexico Sub.
The 181 crosses the Illinois River, giving a good broadside of the new scheme GE.
A wider view of the CPKC unit shows off the scheme better. On the 181 approaching Watts
The trailing unit was the surprise, a CP GE in the new CPKC scheme.
The 262 also met the 181 at Watts, which we first caught on its way up from Westville, a Belle leading a surprise unit.

KCS 4832 leading a KCS run-through grain train at Parkville, Missouri.
KCS 4832 & 4709 are the leaders of a NB empty grain train seen here between Placedo and Victoria. This train is on its way back to home rails, the KCS Rosenberg Sub, to travel back to Houston and then points north-ward.
A NB KCS empty grain train passes a UP manifest through the Bloomington, TX, yard, as the the UP train stops to set out and pick up.
With the main occupied by a NB UP manifest setting out & picking up, a NB KCS empty grain train is routed through Track 2 of the Bloomington Yard to proceed north on the Brownsville Sub.
Rare for the Dunsmuir area on UP tracks, KCS 4709 on the lead as this long freight is stopped at the station platform. Caught this just by chance headed up to the Mt Shasta area, we always checked the Dunsmuir Station area driving through town.
