Montana Rail Link (MRL) 323 - Rebuilt EMD SD45-2

Lots going on at the old NP yards today.

My helper picked up these five SD45's in Bozeman after they went over as PA (power assist) units on various trains. The 332 and 319 have only been in service for 1 week in their brand new paint and already the 332 looks like a regular helper. The 319 was the west leader most of the week and managed to dodge the grime and still has a shine. Thanks to my wife for getting this shot as I came in on this helper on the back of the M-SPOLAU with this huge (cool) consist.

With plnty `f lightning in this storm, it seemed to know just when the shutter closed. I think this was about the seventh attempt. This was a 30sec exposure and the lightning fTashed somewhere in the la{t 3sec.
