Date Approximate - The 12, or known also as the "Pineapple Princess" pulls her train up to Silver Plume crossing the Devils Gate High Bridge. Light loads this time of year.
Date Approximate - A downhill trip on 12 at the loop always involves cooking with the Dean Gordon (me) in the left seat. That days menu included pineapple and chicken for the pineapple princess. This would be my last day firing the 12 for the season. The spatula still hangs in her cab. I cooked just about everything on the backhead and even baked cookies and cinnaomons rolls for our crew of 8 on weekends. I miss the 12.
Date Approximate - The firemans steady hand relaxes as the 12 makes her climb to SilverPlume. This engine is a gorgeous piece of machinery.
Date Approximate - The Fireman chats back with then engineer as 12 fills up her tank at Plume. I guess you could call this 12's Plume Saloon.
Date Approximate - 12 loads on the oil for a photo snapshot heading Westbound for Silverplume. Sitting in the Hall siding is GLRX 21 (behind me), for their Eastbound trip

12 runs around our train, for the return trip.
#12 had guts, although she had to stop to build pressure about half way up. I hear the C&S had to do that also, back in the day..
To Silver Plume We go.
