8339 from the side..for being a 1990 product of GE she looks quite well cared for in black..even at idle, she made a nice variety of sound, too!
NS 8339 was 'born' June 1990 as Conrail 6094. She remained in CR Blue until mid 2008 before getting a coat of NS Black. I know this site has many NS fans, and from the many photos I've seen these black beauts can be tricky to photograph at times. Keeping that in mind, I overexposed my shot a bit and had the help of some spotty snow on the ground to brighten things up a little!
I had to rub my eyes when i first saw this...I was taking my 'Sunday GW Loop tour' and came upon this dark horse with one of 'Uncle's' Horses idling away on the GW just south of Windsor. Quite the surprise, to say the least...
