Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway GP40 4005 & New England Central GP40 4048 are sitting at BNSF'S East Thomas Yard. These units were working on the Eastern Alabama Railway. I'm assuming the lease ran out on these units & the EARY had to send them back to their parent railrokd company.

EARY Power on a Sunday afternoon
Former New England Central 4048 and Alabama & Gulf Coast 4005 lead the Eastern Alabama Railway (EARY),train to Talladega back into Sylacauga, its starting point. This is former L&N trackage. We were extremely surprised to catch this movement as this run has been a nocturnak one for years.
Now working on the EARY, this nifty little GP40 works the siding in downtown Sylacauga, Ala.
